AMPAC aims to foster the development of waiata composers, promoting te reo Maori me ona tikanga within kapa haka. Participants will work alongside Morvin Simon to develop and refine their skills.
This is the first of two wananga, the next to be held in early 2012. It is intended that participants will attend both wananga and will be able to contact Morvin Simon in between wananga for assistance.
The outcome for this activity is to increase the number of new kapa haka compositions performed at the regional festival in May 2012.
